Designed by Finnish-born architect Eero Saarinen, the structure
honors those who fought in America's wars. The huge mosaic,
by Edmund Lewandowski, contains Roman numerals indicating the
eras of World War II and the Korean War. Adjoining the
War Memorial (which contains meeting rooms and offices) is the
Milwaukee Art Museum.
