Natatoria were constructed to provide public baths, in an era
of increasingly polluted waterways. Many people learned to
swim at neighborhood natatoria. Others were located at:
1646 S. 4th St., 1609 W. North Ave., 1645 W. Greenfield Ave. and
2361 S. 10th St.
