This 14-story tower once included a 2000-seat vaudeville theater behind the
building, the entry and foyer of which once occupying the center bay.
The bright exterior look comes from porcelain
finish brick and glazed terra-cotta. The building originally
connected to the (long gone) Schlitz Palm Garden which faced
Third Street.
