Designed by H.J. Esser and built of light tan pressed brick on
a limestone foundation, it was originally the first branch exchange of the
Wisconsin Telephone Co. In 1945 the Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee
owned the building and converted it to a church for use as a mission.
