Architects Ferry & Clas won a nationwide design competition and built
the Library with Bedford (Indiana) limestone. The carvings were
done after the stone was mounted. A young Frank Lloyd Wright
also submitted a contest entry. An 8-year interior renovation
was completed in 2001.
