Dr. Nicholas Senn was one of the most renowned surgeons in the United States when he erected this building. He was the 49th president of the American Medical Association, and belonged to numerous medical societies around the world. This cream city brick building was his office and laboratory. For years it was occupied by the West Side Bank. After decades appearing as at left, it was painted, as shown at right, in 2002.
