- Approved version of new CE 4.0 Curriculum, effective for F'15 freshmen
- Embedded platform updates proceeding
- Embedded Systems I-III: Students use the Altera DE0 laboratory board that they purchased for $65 in their 2nd digital logic class freshman year
- Fully implemented in all 3 classes this year: using Quartus NIOS II (soft processor on FPGA) Development tools
- I (CE2800) introduces assembly and several subsystems
- II (CE2811) moves to C and covers additional subsystems now introduces round-robin scheduling using the timer interrupt
- IV (CE4920) uses a Cypress Semiconductor PSoC device with an ARM5 core and is not changing
